Invitation email didn’t arrive

Please check:

No, BGMS only supports Gmail and Google Workspace accounts.

How many channels can I create?

You can create up to 3 channels.

How do I delete a channel?

You can find the delete option in channel settings.

What is a Ghost Channel?

A Ghost Channel is a frozen state that occurs when the channel owner leaves the channel. When a channel becomes a Ghost Channel, member management features like invitations and playlist additions/deletions are restricted, but existing members can still enjoy content through the player.
Once a channel becomes a Ghost Channel, it cannot be recovered.

What happens when all members leave a channel?

If all existing members leave the channel, the channel will be deleted. Please be careful!

Are there really no ads?

Yes! YouTube music played through BGMS doesn’t show mid-video ads. (Banner ads at the bottom may still appear)

What happens when multiple people add music simultaneously?

They’re added to the playlist in order. Like a jukebox, everyone can enjoy music together!

Troubleshooting

Music won’t play

Please check the following:
  1. Verify Google Access Token
    • Confirm that Google Access Token is set up correctly
    • Check if token expiration hasn’t passed
    • See Set up Search Function to reconfigure
  2. Check internet connection
    • Verify Wi-Fi or mobile data connection status
    • Try reconnecting if connection is unstable
  3. Clear browser cache
    • Delete browser cache and cookies
    • Refresh the page
  4. Try on a different device
    • Sign in with the same account on another device to test
    • This helps identify if the issue is device-specific
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please contact cs@bgms.live.

”This video can’t be played” error

Why this error occurs:
  • YouTube has restricted playback of that music (geographic restrictions, licensing issues, etc.)
  • The music has been deleted from YouTube
  • Your YouTube account has playback restrictions
Solutions:
  1. Find an alternative version
    • Try searching for the same song by a different uploader
    • Look for the music on the artist’s official channel
  2. Re-login to your account
    • Reset your Google Access Token
    • Log in to your account again
  3. Check VPN usage
    • If using a VPN, try disabling it before playing
    • Geographic restrictions may be the cause
If only specific songs produce this error, try playing other music.

Invitation email didn’t arrive

Things to check:
  1. Check spam folder
    • Look in Gmail’s spam/junk folder
    • Check other mail tabs in Gmail
  2. Check email filters
    • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses
    • Look for cs@bgms.live or related domains
    • Delete any blocking filters
  3. Google Workspace admin settings
    • If using a company Google Workspace account, ask admin if email reception is restricted
    • Your admin may have restricted incoming emails from external sources
  4. Request invitation again
    • Ask the channel owner to resend the invitation
    • Wait a few minutes and check again
If emails still don’t arrive, contact cs@bgms.live.

Multiple people controlling at the same time seems chaotic

This is expected behavior! BGMS is designed as a jukebox system:
  • Simultaneous additions: When multiple people add music at the same time, they’re queued in the order they were added
  • Sequential playback: When one song ends, the next one automatically starts playing
  • Fair system: Everyone gets to enjoy music equally
What to expect:
  1. User A adds Song 1 (now playing)
  2. User B adds Song 2 (waiting)
  3. User C adds Song 3 (waiting)
  4. Song 1 ends → Song 2 plays → Song 3 plays
This is the intended design, so if you think “control is getting chaotic,” check if other users are adding music.
