# Set Up Music Search

# Make Music Search Easier

> If just one person invests 3-5 minutes, all channel members can use the music search feature together. It's much simpler than you think!

## What is the Search Feature?

It's a feature that helps you easily find YouTube music in BGMS. Just enter the song title or artist name to play music right away.

## Why is setup needed?

You need Google's permission to search for music on YouTube. That's why a simple authentication process is required. **But don't worry** - only one channel member needs to set it up!

## What is Google Access Token?

It's an authentication key that grants permission to access the YouTube API. Think of it as an 'entry pass' to use YouTube search.

## Setup Instructions

1. Open search settings menu on BGMS settings page
2. Sign in with Google account
3. Get Access Token
4. Enter Token in BGMS
5. Done!

## Having Issues?

If you encounter problems, try generating the Token again. Starting over from the beginning usually solves most issues.

## Security Notice

> * Don't post your Token in public channels
> * If your Token is leaked, regenerate it immediately

The Token only grants YouTube API access and cannot access your Google account password or personal information.

## Can Use Without Search

You can still enjoy BGMS without setting up the search feature:

* **Listen to music added by other members**: You can play songs already added by others
* **Manage playlists**: You can freely manage and play existing music
* **Direct YouTube URL input**: You can add directly if you know the URL

**Q: Do I have to use my Google account?**

A: Token expiration varies. When it expires, a notification will appear, so you can regenerate it then.
